    BIO SKETCH

     

    Mr. Mark Goodger is the Chief Executive Officer of Global Maritime Legal Solutions (Pty) Ltd (GMLS) and, together with his team of International Subject Matter Experts, collectively have extensive experience and expertise in the International Trade, Customs Compliance, Supply Chain and Freight Forwarding environments.  Mark holds a Masters’ Degree (LLM) in Maritime Studies which he obtained from UKZN as well as several other international Qualifications such as FIATA & FIATA Higher Diplomas. 

     

     

    Mark attended the master trainer Incoterms®2010 classes in Paris hosted by the which were delivered by the International Chamber of Commerce Head Quarters. His association with Incoterms training goes back to the University of KwaZulu Natal, by bringing Professor Jan Ramberg to South Africa at the time of the drafting of the 2010 Incoterms. One of Mr Goodgers main areas of expertise is the area of Customs and Excise and GMLS are therefore the WCO Academy training distributor and delivery agent in the South African region. He also highlighted the evolution of security related clearances and information to Prof Ramberg from the WCO SAFE Framework of Standards which has been carried through into the 2020 version. Mr. Goodger recently applied to partake in the ICC application and examinations for the Incoterms® 2020 and was the first to be awarded the official ICC accredited Incoterms® 2020 certificate in South Africa.

     

    The combined expertise of the GMLS Team is continually enhanced and effectively applied to build capacity and educate Senior/Middle Management Professionals in the International Trade, Importers/Exporters, Customs Administrations, Logistics, Customs Brokers and Transporter environment with the most up to date global standards and compliance.

Mr. Rialgo Barnard

    Rialgo Barnard is a seasoned professional in the field of international trade, specifically spanning all the key areas of Customs Compliance and global supply chain management. 

     

    In 1987 Rialgo started his working career as a Departmental Administrator for a large manufacturing company within the automotive industry and transfered to the Shipping Department in 1989. Between 1989 and 1994  he gained the skills in procurement and purchasing proceedured, costing methodologies, raw material and engineering stores, warehousing, general shipping and Customs clearing during that time, Rialgo aso created the bery first Customs accepted clearings system for the employer, which was decommisioned in 2000 only. In 1995 he moved to agency I.t.o Freight Forwarding, Customs Clearing, Logistics, Ship's agency, and exited that secific part of the industry In 2008 as a C & F Agent, Rialgo developed many IT support systems working in conjuncytion with clearing and logistics programs, including other IT systems used as value adds for his clientsin 2009 to current he moved into the feild of international supply chain and customs education as a facilitators skill develoment & instructional designer, and was the author of many learner/ study guides and assessments, which are still in use today. Rialgo aslo took on the roles as international SCM consultant and specialising specifically in international logistics, warehousing (application & systems) and Customs consulting.

    Dumoluhle Sibanda is a dynamic professional with a unique blend of qualifications and expertise. Armed with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Law and Supply Chain Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in Maritime Studies, and I am currently on the exciting path of pursuing a Master of Commerce degree in Maritime Studies.

     

    Dumoluhle's passion lies at the intersection of international trade, customs, port operations and governance. With a solid foundation in law and supply chain management, he brings a comprehensive understanding of the legal landscape and logistical intricacies that govern global trade. His specialized knowledge in maritime studies further enhances his ability to navigate the complexities of the maritime industry.

     

    Over the years, Dumoluhle has honed his skills and gained practical insights, making him highly proficient in international trade dynamics, customs regulations, and efficient port operations. His commitment to excellence extends to fostering good governance practices within the maritime sector.
